Reporting Game Scores Has Changed!
For the past three basketball seasons I have tried to gather volunteers to report game scores. While those that volunteered did an excellent job, there just wasn't enough interest to cover the 70 schools in Section 4. We had 20 volunteers.
Maybe the process was too difficult? Too time consuming? No internet connection at home? Whatever the reason I had to make it easier.
Now There Is An Easier, Faster Way.
Simply send the score of the game in a text message using your cell phone right after the buzzer sounds*. Use the phone number 607-227-5652. The scores will then appear on the Section4Hoops.com Game Scores page within minutes, maybe seconds. You do not need to sign up for anything or get a user ID and password. Just text me the score after the game. It is as simple as that.
Directions
If you have a cell phone with text messaging, send a text message to 607-227-5652 immediately after the game ends*.
There are a few rules to follow:
- Always list the winner first.
- Spell out the school's name, please don't use initials (JV score can use initials if score is submitted with Varsity score).
- Please include JV score (you can also send the JV score separately after the JV game).
- I will receive the text and then forward it to section4hoops, it will then appear on the Game Scores page.
